In celebration of the 100th anniversary of women receiving the right to vote in the United States, Rachael McClinton, co-founder of Living Voices, performs the story of Jessie, who becomes deeply involved in the early 20th century suffrage movement, comparing women’s fight for democracy to the one her brother Will stands for when he goes overseas as a WWI soldier.
Watch Rachael's dramatic presentation on video, then join her online for a live Q&A discussion. Visit the AAUW website to register for this free event.
Living Voices is an entertaining education program that combines storytelling and performance by a solo actor along with film footage in the background to bring characters and their times to life.
