Help scientists count local migratory shorebirds on our coasts! Following last month's presentation of the PBS documentary Flyways, we initiated a project to collect data on migratory shorebirds on the Olympic Peninsula’s coasts. Join volunteers of the Admiralty Audubon Society and fellow Citizen Scientists to count migratory shorebirds this fall. Please dress for the weather! Rain ponchos will be available upon request.
Phone apps eBird and Merlin are required. Please plan to arrive early at 2:00 pm if you need assistance downloading the eBird and Merlin apps.
Don't miss our Citizen Science Apps for Birding class on October 1st at 3:00 pm! We will download the Merlin and e-Bird apps and explain how to use the apps during class.
