Join avid shepherd and fiber artist Dean Hyden for a three-part introduction to wool spinning. Hyden will discuss the structure, properties, and types of wool fiber, discuss wool preparation, demonstrate drop spindle and spinning techniques, and more. All supplies will be provided for the class series. Registration is required. Register for the first class, and you'll automatically be signed up for the remaining sessions.

Dean Hyden is an avid shepherd and fiber artist who has been breeding Border Cheviot sheep for 46 years. Dean has won awards in the show ring along with wool and fiber arts competitions. He is a qualified youth sheep judge and a Livestock Advisor through Washington State University. In addition, he is a certified Wool Classer with the American Sheep Industry. He lives in Chewelah, Washington with his wife of 27 years.
