Submission deadline is 9:00 pm on Monday, May 31.

Step outside and see the world around you. Hop online and stream some inspiration. Carefully set your scene, or catch that elusive moment, then share your work with us for the 5th annual Teen Photo Show!

The Blue Marble was the first photo showing the whole of Earth, and changed the way we view our interconnected world. While we can’t take such a broad photo as those astronauts did, images are a powerful way to show both individuality, and community connections.

Photographers age 11-18 can submit 1 or 2 works on the theme “Colors of the World.” Submissions can be made through our website or mailed to the library. Four $50 gift cards will be awarded; 1 for a notable entry chosen by public vote, and 3 judges choices for composition, innovation, and sense of story.

Rules:

● Photographer must be between 11 and 18 years of age.
● Slight digital adjustments are allowed.
● Print size no larger than 14 inches on the longest side.
● Photos may be black & white and/or color.
● Each photo must be acceptable for public viewing by all age groups or it will not be displayed.
