The art of storytelling is descended from an oral tradition which relied on known structures to help the tellers remember their stories (among other things). We'll explore some of these structures to see how we can apply them to stories we tell in fiction writing, looking at some examples and different approaches.
We will be working with a recording of Pearl Klein's recent workshop held live, online at our Pt. Hadlock library.
Pearl was a classroom teacher until, in her 40s, she began acting, writing, and directing plays. As a writing coach, she enjoys sharing her ideas and seeing how others use them and loves observing people think and develop creatively.
