Week Calendar

Toddler Storytime is for children ages 12 months to 30 months and features movement, music, puppets, and fingerplays as well as flannel stories and the reading of short books written with toddlers in mind.

All ages are invited to H.J. Carroll Park to enjoy stories, songs and hopefully sunshine. This event takes place on the lawn near the Rotary Pavilion.

Bring your preschooler and enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, and more designed to promote early learning. Preschool Storytime is followed by a craft or activity that encourages networking and enriches literacy.

Kaleidoscope Play & Learn groups are for children ages birth to 5 and their families or caregivers. Come play, read, sing, enjoy snacks and enhance the bond with your family and community. Sessions are free and open to everyone.

A spacecraft that can land gently is important for getting astronauts to and from the moon safely.

Create a gravity defying hula hoop and decorate it in your own special style. Top yourself off with your kinetically inspired space helmet, and give your hula hoop a whirl.

Conceptualize, sketch, and fully design your own sci-fi super hero, then illustrate your newly developed character in amazing full color!

Drop in and work with library staff to receive individual assistance with your computer or handheld device. Bring your own device or ask to borrow one of ours.

Experience Virtual Reality with the Oculus device while guided and supported by trained staff.

Learn to fold whimsical mini origami stars, then take them home in your own jar. Use your jar as a lovely decoration piece, or use the stars to make earrings, garland, mobiles, and more.

Facilitated by Jefferson County librarians, join in the fun and test your knowledge of books, film, and pop culture during an evening of trivia, food, and cider.
