Homes for the Holidays: Gingerbread House-Making Contest

Bakers and crafters of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in our annual Gingerbread House-Making Contest! Join us in celebrating the Jefferson County Library District's 45th Anniversary by building a structure that represents our mission statement Feeding Minds, Fueling Dreams, and inspires creativity, growth, and learning.

How it Works:

• Build: Your creation may be built out of anything that can be eaten. Use whatever you like, as long as it's edible.
• Enter: Online entries will be accepted from November 30th – December 10th. Optional: You may also bring your entry to the library for our display! 
• Vote: Patrons will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites in each of the three categories! There will be one winner per category:
  • Kids (under 18)
  • Adults (18 and older)
  • Families (all ages)

Online voting will be open to the public Thursday, December 12th through Friday, December 20th. Winners will be announced online on Monday, December 23rd.

Need supplies? 

Scroll down and register for a supply kit beginning November 12th. The supply kit includes graham crackers, candy, and frosting mix. (Registration is for supply kits only and is OPTIONAL. Feel free to use your own supplies!)

Supply Kit Registration

Register below for a supply kit that includes graham crackers, candy, and frosting mix. Supply kits will be available for pickup between November 20th – December 1st. NOTE: Supply kits are optional, there is no need to register if you are using your own supplies. One supply kit per household, please.
