Event Details

Combatting illegal immigration has become a priority of the Trump administration. The Northern Triangle of Central America, made up of Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala, is a special target of the administration, which hold the nations responsible for the large flow of migrants from Latin America to the U.S. With funds from the U.S. cut, how can the Northern Triangle countries curtail migration?

Great Decisions, produced by the Foreign Policy Association (FPA), is America’s largest civic discussion program on world affairs. Discussions will run live online weekly each Thursday from April 2 – April 23. There may be two additional dates to be determined for the Red Sea Security and Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking discussions. Each week we will cover a topic of great importance to Americans and a discussion of American policy will be facilitated. The Foreign Policy Association has made all the videos available free online. A link to the video is listed below for each discussion. Please watch the video before attending the discussion. Attend the entire series of discussions or one discussion. No previous registration is required. The program series is co-sponsored by Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship’s Adult Learning Program.
